Strange, I was able to install ETK/Tis on XP before and used for several years, but when I tried reinstalling from my CD's, ETK database will not open. All components were completely installed according to wizard. Tried opening ETK first then TIS as instructed.

Somebody posted the instructions to download the E38 TIS and ETK here and I finally got the.iso files on CDs. I try to install them and I ran into some trouble. When I double click the BMW-TIS.iso file, it pulls up Easy CD Creator and gives a warning message saying that I need to copy the file onto the hard. BMW Teilekatalog (BMW Teile), Ersatzteile BMW. Can't find a utility by that name when I searched my PC. Methinks he meant SysAdmin utility which is on ETK CD and also TIS CD.

Don't understand why I can use the TIS though and not ETK. Anyone the Mar 2002 version with XP only? I tried loading everything from cd's to hd and then manually installing, but sysadmin couldn't find the setup files. Spent hour after hour trying different paths. Nothing worked. So today I decided to give it one more try and put the discs back in and do it the conventional way.it all works. Everything works.
