When I first got the motor I inspected valve clearance and glow plug color (combustion chamber side), pulled off crank cover to inspect for rust inside as well as a hand test of compression which all appeared to be good. I did install a new F glow plug as I wasn't certain of the one that came with the motor. Original plug face was black and filament clean/normal color. Initially it ran with a 15x7 prop on 10% fuel. Was able to get it to idle at around 2700 rpms but the prop was pulling too much at that speed. RPMs would drop about 1k if I pulled the glow battery off of the plug even around 200F running temp.
