Training Programs in Medical Psychology and Neuropsychology The Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences of the David Geffen School Medicine, the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior and the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital offer multiple opportunities for training in clinical psychology from pre-internship through advanced postdoctoral levels. There are multiple Training Programs (also known as 'Pre-internships', 'Clerkships'). The UCLA Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1963. The internship is characterized by a wide variety of clinical activities, supervision by a multidisciplinary faculty who frequently are nationally known in their specialty, and a wide array of seminars, case conferences and other educational experiences. UCLA Medical Center was ranked among the top 3 hospitals in the United States. The program now supports 16 interns in 10 unique tracks, including: Geriatric Psychology-Neuropsychology; Health & Behavior; Major Mental Illness; Adult Neuropsychology; General Child; Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disabilities; Pediatric Consultation Liaison; Adolescent Serious Mental Illness; and Pediatric Neuropsychology; Trauma, Stress and Resilience.
